Ginninderra wind Orchestra (GWO) is a community wind orchestra that meets on a regular basis to rehearse a large variety of music. The band consists of a large 70 members, giving us a highly skilled and strong sound.

Ginninderra Wind Orchestra commenced in 1987, as an avenue for young players to continue playing together when they finished at Ginninderra High School. Over the years, the group's drawing base has broadened with players from other musical backgrounds joining. GWO came into being at a time when very few community bands existed. Special links with school-based bands, in particular the well known Lyneham High School Band Program, has put us in a strong position to grow in both numbers and musical talent.

Members of the Wind Orchestra also form a 20-piece ensemble, which palys a mixture of traditional and contemporary jazz tunes such as:
